The first trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse has landed and to say it’s epic, well, that might just be too tame of a description.
The X-Men (led by James McAvoy’s Professor X and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto) are in for the fight of their lives. Their foe this time out is the strongest yet, Oscar Isaac’s (soon to be seen in a heroic role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens) Apocalypse. He is the oldest, and most powerful, mutant in history and as he says in the below teaser, “you are all my children.”
Noticeably missing from this trailer is Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, who we all know is back for a follow-up turn to his role in X-Men: Days of Future Past. But then again, why give us all the beans in this first teaser?!
X-Men: Apocalypse also brings back Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne (reprising her role as Moira MacTaggert from X-Men: First Class).
Joining the franchise is Lucas Till as Havok, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee.
Oh, and did you notice that Evan Peters’ Quicksilver is back, too?!
X-Men: Apocalypse slated to hit theaters May 27, 2016.
