A Thanksgiving gift has arrived early from Marvel Studios and Walt Disney as the trailer for Captain America: Civil War has arrived… and it is stunning.
The Movie Mensch has watched it a dozen times and only stopped hitting repeat to write this article to share it with you fine people!
The trailer sort of sets our favorite superhero, Captain America (Chris Evans), up as the villain of our movie. In fact, William Hurt (a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe) calls him a vigilante. See, Cap is on a mission to save his best friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan), who was famously the man formerly known as The Winter Soldier. He is one of the world’s most wanted men, but Cap believes otherwise.
Unfortunately, that means it will cause a split amongst The Avengers with Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) and others coming for him.
On his side… why it appears to be the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and we get the first images of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).
Captain America: Civil War arrives in theaters May 6, 2016 and picks up right where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off.
