Johnny Depp is causing quite a stir with his role in the upcoming Black Mass. Warner Bros. has released the film’s first true poster and it has Depp looking not only quite the gangster, but also the potential Oscar nominee.
Depp portrays James “Whitey” Bulger, the most notorious gangster to ever control the streets of Boston. Director Scott Cooper brings the crime drama to life, with an astounding cast beyond the impressive looking Depp.
Black Mass also stars Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, Jesse Plemons, Rory Cochrane, Sienna Miller, Adam Scott and Corey Stoll.
The film chronicles Whitey’s rise to 1970s master of the streets of Bean Town as an FBI Agent, John Connolly (Edgerton), tries to bring the mobster to justice.
Look for Black Mass to make quite a mark when it hits theaters September 18.
