David Ayer made quite the impression on the Hall H crowd at Comic-Con. Then, the footage/trailer that Ayer brought to San Diego leaked online. Despite their best efforts, Warner Bros. was unable to stop the pirated copy of this fantastic teaser and decided to release it officially online so fans can see it in the highest quality possible.
We’re sad it happened this way, but wow, this thing is supremely impressive.
Hot on the tails of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, we’ve got a look at the bad guys tasked with being good.
The flick stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.
The trailer starts with Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller laying out her plans for the Suicide Squad, believing that she can control these bad guys in going good, because that’s what she has been doing her entire career. We’ll see how well that goes!
And the best is saved for last… who would have thought after Heath Ledger won an Oscar for playing The Joker in The Dark Knight that anyone could come close? Well, it’s only a teaser, but the final moments of the Suicide Squad teaser with Jared Leto as The Joker, well… just brilliant. Bloody brilliant.
