With Comic-Con just around the corner, you can see why Fox has released a new Fantastic Four teaser trailer. The Marvel “first family” is ready to take over the annual San Diego-based pop culture convention as anticipation runs high for the reboot of the superhero franchise that originally starred Chris Evans and Jessica Alba.
This time out, we’ve got Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (soon to be seen in Creed) and Jamie Bell, who is ready to take on The Thing.
The pedigree behind the screen has us excited for the August 7 release as Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) penned the screenplay and Josh Trank (Chronicle) is the man directing the sure-to-be spectacle.
What’s so special about this Fantastic Four teaser is it takes us back to the beginning and shows us how Richards’ scientific obsessions have informed his entire life.
Who’s our baddie? Why, it’s going to be Toby Kebbell as the Fantastic Four’s longtime nemesis Doctor Doom. The film also features Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Franklin Storm and Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder.
