Creed Trailer: Stallone’s Back As Rocky Trains Apollo’s Son!

When we first heard about the Rocky spin-off Creed, we came at it with one eyebrow raised. The one thing that had us intrigued is the fact that it starred one of our favorite up-and-coming actors, Michael B. Jordan. The Fruitvale Station star is nothing short of a supreme talent and we figured he would not have signed on to “another” Rocky movie if it didn’t hold water.

With the arrival of the film’s first trailer, Creed has suddenly become one of our must-sees of the fall.

Sylvester Stallone is back as Rocky, the Italian Stallion, and as we meet him, he is living comfortably in his retirement in Philadelphia. He is visited by a young Creed, who introduces himself as Apollo’s son, and the young fighter wishes to be trained by the former champ himself.

Creed looks to have some serious emotional power too because, if you remember, the younger Creed grew up without his father, who died in the ring.

The film is helmed by Ryan Coogler, who directed Jordan in Fruitvale Station. Want one more reason to be intrigued? The film also features Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne Creed, Apollo’s widow!

Look for Creed in theaters November 25.
