Sony has released a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming Pixels. The film has the most fascinating of ideas and The Movie Mensch cannot wait to see the entire wild idea come to life when Pixels hits theaters July 24.
After the U.S. sends a message into space in the early ’80s explaining to the universe who we are, aliens receive the signal. But it is the part about our fascination with video games that they perceive as a threat. Therefore, they design alien invaders in the form of Pac Man, Galaga, Centipede and even Donkey Kong to invade us decades later.
What are we to do? The president (Kevin James) enlists a super team of former video game kings (led by Peter Dinklage, Adam Sandler and Josh Gad) to mount our defense.
