A Quiet Place Part II Trailer: Be Vewy Vewy Quiet

The calendar must be getting close to March 20, because the buzz on A Quiet Place Part II is inching closer to scorching hot. Proof of that arrived today in a sizzling 60-second trailer that has our protagonists running, hiding, running again and all the while … being very, very quiet.

Directed (again) by John Krasinski, the film picks up soon after the events of A Quiet Place. The Abbott family are doing their best to survive after an alien species invaded earth in the first film. Those creatures cannot see, but boy oh boy can they hear. So again, be very, very quiet. Emily Blunt plays the mother of two small children and a baby who are forced to hit the road after the friendly confines of their home with her deceased husband (Krasinski) became infested with hostility.

They find themselves—this is what is gleaned from the trailer—with an individual (Cillian Murphy) who is reluctant to help them. When seeing the innocence that is a baby and realizing that maybe, must maybe there is some hope to be found in this whole apocalyptical horror, our mysterious stranger starts to feel that life is once again worth fighting for.

The first film was a surprise success and from what I have seen so far, our expectations should be sky high for A Quiet Place: Part II.
