Goon Last of the Enforcers Trailer: Seann William Scott Punches Back!

As a huge hockey fan and as a clear admirer of all things film, you can imagine how taken we were with Seann William Scott’s Goon. The film landed in 2011 and shined a light on “professional” hockey like no movie has since Slap Shot. Entertainment One has unveiled the sequel’s, Goon: Last of the Enforcers, first poster and trailer.

The flick will land simultaneously in theaters and On Demand/Digital HD on September 1. It brings back Scott in the role he was born for, that of Doug “The Thug” Glatt. We find him married with children and “retired” because of years of beating on bodies. Not necessarily his body, but others!

A pro lockout has caused the Halifax Highlanders to have a reunion of former teammates, as well as brought in a whole slew of newbies to the ice warriors. While Doug is making his living hawking insurance, the former enforcer finds new motivation to unhang those skates and get back in the ring, er, rink. It arrives in the form of his old rival being given the title of team captain and Doug will have none of it.

This development will probably not sit so well with his wife, Eva.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers finds Scott joined by Alison Pill, Wyatt Russell (Everybody Wants Some), Marc Andre Grondin, Jason Jones, Elisha Cuthbert, Kim Coates and also features the return from the first film of Jay Baruchel and Liev Schreiber.
