Our favorite animated villain turned hero and doting father has returned in the first trailer for Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 3.
The film follows the latest adventures of Gru (Steve Carell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and those three adorable kids Gru adopted, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Nev Scharrel). Guess who else is back? Those lovable Minions return after their own successful cinematic outing.
The villain this time out could not have been better cast. Trey Parker (from South Park) voices Balthazar Bratt, a former child star of the 80s who is obsessed with everything that is from that Decade of Decadence. Within moments of this trailer one thing becomes clear, he is Gru’s most difficult foe yet.
Look for Gru and his crew to hit theaters on June 30, 2017. After the success of Illumination Entertainment’s The Secret Life of Pets, look for Despicable Me 3 to keep that animation house’s hot streak going.
