The latest The Nice Guys trailer is being called the “retro trailer” and one can see why. The master of crime comedy (and action for that matter with his work on Iron Man 3 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) – Shane Black – is back and he’s briging along wto superstars for a head back to the days of disco thriller.
Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe star as a couple of private detectives in 1970s Los Angeles who are hired by Kim Basinger to find her daughter, who might be mixed up in some serious scandal that reaches to the highest echelons of the government and the power elite.
Black’s knack for penning razor sharp dialogue that makes audiences laugh while they are glued to their seat in suspense appears to never be as pointed as it is in The Nice Guys.
The Nice Guys is produced by Joel Silver and also stars Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David, Beau Knapp and Angourie Rice.
Look for Black’s latest triumph to hit theaters May 20.
