The Jungle Book Featurette Introduces Stellar Voice Cast

The Jungle Book is set to land in theaters April 15 and as one of the lucky ones out there who has seen it, let’s just say it is astounding. Director Jon Favreau has achieved his masterpiece, and that’s saying a lot, given the fact that the original Disney animated film is considered an absolute classic.

Disney has released a new featurette that highlights just one aspect of this brilliant film — the voice casting. From Bill Murray as Baloo to Idris Elba as the evil Shere Khan, it is simply stunning how pitch perfect Favreau and his team were in selecting which voice should go with which CG animal.

The Rudyard Kipling classic tale is presented in vivid 3D and will transport a whole new generation to the magic of the Jungle, and also have those of us who remember the first film cheering how Favreau has literally brought this tale to life. The whole family will love it.

The Jungle Book also stars Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Christopher Walken as King Louie and Scarlett Johansson as the slithery snake Kaa.
