Netflix has released the first trailer for the original actioner Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth. The Thor star portrays Tyler Rake, a black market mercenary who was tapped to rescue the son (Rudhraksh Jaiswal) of a drug lord who has been kidnapped in the midst of a criminal underground war.
Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake does his fair share of kicking butt. But this case is a little different. Usually he sees his targets as just that, means to an end. This time, there is something about this boy and his raw emotive response to his situation that sends Rake to do something he would normally never even consider—put his own life on the line for another.
The producing team behind this action-fest (which appears to be just the distraction we all need right now) is Joe and Anthony Russo. They’re the visionary minds behind Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Also on board are producers of Atomic Blonde and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. So, yeah, these guys know how to make movies that get your blood pumping.
As teased in the trailer above, Hemsworth is joined by Stranger Things star David Harbour, Goldshifteh Farahani and Derek Luke.
