James Bond is 60 years old and doesn’t look a day over… well, you get the picture. As Daniel Craig sails away into the sunset after a triumphant run as 007, along with his license to kill, the search is on for the next soul to inhabit Ian Flemming’s iconic and seismic transcendent character.
In honor of the smoothest cat’s unmatched run at the cinemas, and a particular publication that got it all wrong—you won’t see me pointing fingers—my best friend Nick Boski and I took it upon ourselves to watch every single Bond movie according to that publications order, from “worst to first.”
Afterward, we were to create our top list of all 26 James Bond movies.
It was a blast. In every way, I wish we could start all over. Watching my favorite movie series back to back, week to week—never missing a single weekend—and then connecting with my best bud and talking about it all week, has been pure bliss. Although our lists may be different, slightly different, one thing we absolutely agree on: Craig is our favorite Bond, and Sean Connery was the best Bond.
We were also charged with putting the legendary and Oscar-winning James Bond theme songs in order of their greatness. Here is mine for your enjoyment on Spotify.
