Did you ever think the day would arrive when Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher would utilize his own superpowers? Me either, that—amongst many other things—has us utterly intrigued about the upcoming season three of The Boys, landing on Prime Video on June 3.
As seen in the trailer below, Butcher takes some supe juice and it makes him see red… so to speak!
Meanwhile, everyone in that electric ensemble has a moment in the teaser, even if it is brief, and it leaves us with a litany of inquiries about what this season will primarily be about and where on earth this narrative is going to land.
It’s fantastic that Prime Video decided to explain why Butcher took on those superpowers, and that is because “It’s time to level the f***ing playing field.” He’s not wrong.
We’ve also got a look at the first poster for the third season of the Prime Video hit program that shows us exactly what would happen if human beings really could get superpowers. I believe, wholeheartedly, that this show nails it in terms of the human reaction to these superheroes. But most importantly, it’s about the Supes and that is undoubtedly how people would act if suddenly given superhuman you-name-it.
What is so fantastic about the above trailer is that it embodies the tone of the entire series thus far. There’s plenty of blood and there are parts that are downright diabolical—and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
The Boys will land on June 3, which will be followed by a new ep each Friday. It will all wrap up with what promises to be an explosive finale on July 8.
The stunner of a television program stars Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, Urban, and Jensen Ackles.
