The first trailer for the highly anticipated pairing of Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds—Red Notice—has arrived from Netflix.
Things all start with Johnson, who portrays John Hartley, an FBI agent who has been devoting his career of late to tracking down one of the world’s most wanted art thieves. He is continually hot on her stilettos and then she somehow slips through his fingers. Known only as “The Bishop,” Gadot’s character is a force of nature, as shown in the early moments of the trailer below.
To help things, Hartley has tapped Nolan Booth (Reynolds) to help him in his effort to put her in handcuffs and finally have her face justice.
Booth and The Bishop have both been given the “Red Notice” moniker by Interpol, kind of like their “Most Wanted” list. We suspect some sort of deal was worked out because Hartley clearly does not like having to be paired with Booth when all he wants is to put him behind bars. But, there’s something about The Bishop that has gotten under his skin and he will do anything to stop her.
Red Notice is set to premiere on the streaming giant on November 12. The actioner is written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Netflix also revealed the official synopsis for the flick that finds the stars of Black Adam, Wonder Woman, and Deadpool hopefully taking action-comedy to new heights.
Synopsis: When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.
