How does one follow up the sensational success—both critical, award, and viewer—of the television juggernaut that was The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, and Reese Witherspoon? If the first full-length trailer from AppleTV+ is any indication, they’ve nailed it.
If you haven’t seen the first season, drop everything you’re doing and inhale the explosive and surprisingly endearing hit show that was essentially the first to bring attention to the starting up streamer that was AppleTV+.
The second season will start its airing on September 17 with three new episodes dropping each Friday with 10 total episodes.
From what we can discern from the eagerly anticipated trailer is that events of this second season pick up right where we left off at the end of season one. Things are a mess at what once was the leader in morning news shows has network executive Cory (a never been better Billy Crudup) will the utmost of challenges.

Although it was a passing mention, looks like one of the best shows on TV will not why away from the “C” word and by “C” word, I mean the Coronavirus.
Besides Aniston, Witherspoon, Crudup and Carell, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Desean Terry, Bel Powley, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin and Marcia Gay Harden are all coming back. Joining them in one of television’s greatest ensembles is Holland Taylor, Julianne Margulies, Greta Lee, Ruairi O’Conner, Tara Karison, Valeria Golino and Hasan Minhaj.
Apple TV+ also revealed the synopsis for Season 2:
Picking up after the explosive events of season one, season two finds “The Morning Show” team emerging from the wreckage of Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) actions to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play.
