The Loki trailer has arrived, and it does something amazing. I was already on board with this third series from Marvel Studios—after WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. But this teaser has me beyond pumped for the series that brings Tom Hiddleston back to the role he made famous in the first Thor.
The premise of the show is still a bit murky, but from what we can glean from the trailer below is that Thor’s little bro is in the custody of the Time Variance Authority (TVA). Seems when he took that Tesseract during Avengers: Endgame, he unleashed a whole ton of ripple effects that only he can fix.
Counting on one of Marvel’s great villains to help? How’s that worked out so far for anyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? But, then again, watching Hiddleston as Loki dupe and dodge his way through situation after situation is always pure bliss… so, witnessing him do it over the course of a series will be simply awesome.
The above trailer also showcases the man charged with wrangling the unmanageable, Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson). The teaser also showcases the numerous time-traveling mayhem that Loki will be involved with—all in that effort, if you recall, to fix what he started happening by taking that pesky Tesseract.
We also get a look at Loki stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Sophia DiMartino and Richard E. Grant.
Look for some good times ahead from Loki when it premieres on June 11.
