Last time we checked in with Pixar, they were teaching us some lessons about life and death in the stunning Soul. Today, the famed animation house has unveiled the trailer for their next picture, the rich-looking Luca.
The film is set along the beautiful Italian Riviera. Pixar is known for pushing the envelope. What it did for animated hair with Brave is legitimately awe-inspiring. What they achieved with water with Finding Nemo and Finding Dory is also legendary. Look for Pixar to take us to the Italian hot spot and give it new life and strike up interest in traveling to that historically rich land when this whole Covid thing is over.
Luca is the title character (voiced by Room breakout Jacob Tremblay), and he and his BFF Alberto (Jack Dylan Grazer) are ready to have the summer of their young lives. When they land in the sea on one particular afternoon, they learn a secret that is going to be hard to keep to themselves—sea creatures who take the form of humans when they are on land.
Enrico Casarosa is the helmer who is reportedly looking to land in the subject realm somewhere between Inside Out and Coco.
Look for Luca in theaters June 18.
