The first look at the titanic battle between two beloved beasts is here as Godzilla vs. Kong trailer has dropped and it’s a heavyweight cinematic battle for the ages.
After Godzilla revived the monster and King Kong achieved the same, both have had sequels that did commercially well, but critically were meh. Now, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have teamed up yet again to bring these two movie icons together to a battle royale.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Aren’t they “on the same side?” Well, judging by the below trailer, something is going on with the lizardry monster that helped save us twice already. He’s on a path of destruction and there’s only one way, or one soul that can stop him. Kong!
The all-star cast is led by the returning Millie Bobby Brown (from King Kong) and also features Alexander Skarsgård and Rebecca Hall.
The trailer above teases some epic fighting sequences between the two, that of course leaves every innocent building or individuals decimated, but that’s neither here nor there. But it also introduced a kaiju named Warbat—and that has longtime fans drooling themselves silly.
Look for Godzilla vs. Kong in theaters and on HBO Max on March 26.
