The Star Wars spinoff series we didn’t know we needed and now cannot live without, The Mandalorian, has premiered its season 2 trailer.
Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Jungle Book, The Lion King) has created a bonafide hit for Disney+. When it debuted its first season, although we never saw the face of Pedro Pascal, his presence was immense as the titular character. So too was the arrival of an entity known the globe over as “Baby Yoda.” That being is clearly a huge part of the second season as well. Looks like our Mandalorian is tasked with bringing the child to a group known as “The Jedi.” Got your attention?
Making their mark, also, in the first season, was baddie Giancarlo Esposito, who looks like he will play an enormous part in the second frame. You’ll also notice a larger scope to season 2, which is to be expected of anything that follows a cinematic model. After all, the sequel is always bigger and better than the first, right?
Although not much else is known about the second season, we do know that stepping behind the camera will be Peyton Reed (Ant-Man), Carl Weathers (who also stars in the series), and filmmaker extraordinaire, Robert Rodriguez.
Look for the second season of The Mandalorian to start on October 30.
