IFC Films has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming thriller, The Rental. The flick marks the directorial debut of actor Dave Franco and it stars his wife, Alison Brie, along with Dan Stevens, Sheila Vand and Jeremy Allen White.
The quartet portray a pair of couple friends who head away to a dream rental that over looks the Pacific Ocean. It’s all fun and games until Brie discovers a tiny camera embedded inside her bathroom’s shower head. Yeah, that’ll creep you out.
It does not take too long until the Air B&B becomes a nightmare as their host appears to have a few screws loose. All told, looks like Franco has a solid grip on the thriller genre as the spooks and surprises run rampant in this teaser, all while not really giving away too much.
Stevens is always fantastic, in fact, The Movie Mensch has been calling for years for him to be the next James Bond as Daniel Craig rocks into the sunset with No Time to Die.
Look for The Rental On Demand, select theaters (if they open) and in drive-in theaters on July 24.
