In a surprise move nobody saw coming, a new horror movie from Blumhouse and Universal is coming to VOD next week and we are here for it! David Koepp wrote and directed the thriller and one of the most prolific of Hollywood writers has managed to keep this one under wraps as the trailer and film are set to premiere in successive weeks.
Koepp and star Kevin Bacon reunite, after the work they did on Stir of Echoes, as You Should Have Left finds the Bacon led family (with Amanda Seyfried starring as his wife) moving into a mysterious house that is just gorgeous on the outside and inside. Yet, something is kind of off about this abode. As you see in the teaser below, it literally doesn’t add up. The family (including their young daughter) may not be alone … or are they?
Koepp has worked on numerous screenplays that have become iconic films, from Spider-Man to Mission: Impossible and Jurassic Park. The web he has woven here has Bacon’s character as someone who is seeking a fresh start and he and his wife firmly believe they have it with their new home. Thing is … something happened in Bacon’s past and it is not done with him. Thanks to the house, things are about to get interesting.
