The new Artemis Fowl trailer has landed and the latest from Disney and director Kenneth Branagh hopes that fans of the book series won’t mind a little adjustment to the storyline. In the Eoin Colfer authored book, 12-year-old Artemis (Ferdia Shaw) is a massive villain. He’s one of the best thievers on the planet. But in this version, he’s our protagonist and is the key to keeping his father’s collection of fantastical items safe.
As teased in the trailer, the young Mr. Fowl has to step up when his father is kidnapped. He discovers his father’s secret and answers the call to keep balance between the human and fantasy world.
Artemis Fowl was originally slated to debut in theaters last summer. Now, it’s set to land in theaters this summer, May 29.
The film also stars Josh Gad (Frozen 2), Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Colin Farrell, Nonso Anozie, Josh McGuire, Nikesh Patel and Adrian Scarborough and Judi Dench.
