The first trailer for the new The Grudge has been unveiled by Screen Gems. The 2002 Japanese flick now has two English language remakes, the first starred Sarah Michelle Gellar. The killer horror story features an all-star cast, including Searching star John Cho, Demian Bechir, Betty Gilpin, horror legend Lin Shaye, William Sadler, Jackie Weaver and Andrea Risenborough.
The story follows a home where a mother murdered her family and it seems that anyone who visits the house, takes a little horrific something-something with them home. Whether that is Cho’s realtor or Riseborough’s police detective. Neither’s lives with be the same after entering that house of horrors.

Fitting that the trailer is released the week of Halloween. Nothing like getting horror fans’ collective attention at the height of their favorite time of the year.
Director Nicholas Pesce has crafted a feel that mirrors the 2004 Gellar beloved flick but takes it several steps further by expanding the story to include three storylines of folks who have the terrifying luck of being stuck in this haunting’s web.
Look for The Grudge to take hold once again on January 3, 2020.
