It’s getting exciting, people! The first true trailer (which one could argue is still in the teaser-zone with simply showing Breaking Bad fans this single scene) has landed and the only words heard are from a radio announcer. Its content should get those little hairs on the back or your neck standing upright.
“Investigators are searching for a person of interest who fled the scene. Anyone with information on this massacre is asked to call the police immediately.”
Of course, those of us who know the Breaking Bad story keenly well know exactly who and what that involves, none other than Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). Remember the final episode of the groundbreaking show that in this writer’s mind, is the best thing that television has ever produced? There was that Nazi compound firefight that even involved a remote control machine gun that gave carnage new meaning.
The Breaking Bad movie will catch up with Pinkman and let us know what happened to him after the events of the Emmy-winning, groundbreaking television show. Of course, one of the hugest mysteries about this film is will we see Bryan Cranston’s Walter White? As longtime fans know, he didn’t make it out of that firefight, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get a glimpse of the man whose cooking was so incredible, it had people killing over getting the product of his efforts.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie hits Netflix on October 11 and will also be in a few select theaters as well. It is written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the creator and brain behind the entire series. The cast list has been somewhat kept under wraps, after all that would tell us exactly who will be in the flick.
What we do know, is an “official synopsis” has been unveiled with this trailer.
