Bond 25 Gets a Moniker: What Is It?

Agent 007, aka James Bond, has gone by many titles over the years—most notably Mr. License to Kill. What’s fascinating then is that there has been quite a few Bond blockbusters over the years that possess the word “die” in its title. Given that he does have that government sanctioned green light to waste his foes, that should hardly surprise. So, it is with great pride that those behind the Bond franchise announce the name for film number 25.

From here on out, Bond 25 will now be known as No Time to Die. That now joins Live and Let Die, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day in the lexicon of James Bondian names with some form of the word that means “to pass away.”

Daniel Craig is back for his final (what is supposed to be, at least) go-around as James Bond and from the looks of things, he could not have gone out with more of a bang!

What we know about the flick thus far is that recent Oscar winner (for Bohemian Rhapsody) Rami Malek will be our antagonist and longtime Bond foe Blofeld will also be in the flick. He was last played by Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and there’s no word that it won’t be him in No Time to Die. You remember that the iconic Bond baddie was played by different actors each time out.

Also known is that Lashana Lynch (of Captain Marvel fame) would be officially 007 in this installment, due to Bond deciding to hang it up … for now! Jeffrey Wright returns to the series as Bond’s CIA buddy Felix, as well as Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw is Q, Rory Kinnear, Lea Seydoux, David Dencik and Billy Magnussen round out the cast for director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Look for No Time to Die in theaters on April 8, 2020.
