Universal has unleashed the final trailer for Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. You know when that “final” word is used in the marketing of a teaser, that means one thing—ladies and gentlemen, the latest flick from the Fast and Furious universe’s release date is inching ever closer!
I’m intrigued with this title, given the explosive and insanely fun chemistry that Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham have had over a couple of Fast and Furious flicks. The idea of these two “rivals” have to join forces to save the world has us ready to hop in that car and do a little Fast and Furious driving ourselves to the theater.
The concept is interesting as well, what with Idris Elba portraying a genetically altered “super solider” that is hell bent on getting his hands on a lethal, population cleansing, virus that Shaw’s sister stole from him. Stole is such a nasty word. I mean, let’s be real … she did the world a favor, right?!
Hobbs & Shaw looks bananas-ly bombastically bonkers!
Joining the cast of the big three is Vanessa Kirby as Shaw’s sister. Great casting as well.
Look for the actioner to rev your engines on August 2.
