The “final” trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters has been released by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment and it is something else. Love the use of Somewhere Over the Rainbow as the backdrop for the titanic action that occurs onscreen as our favorite Kaiju does battle with some pretty iconic souls—Mothra, King Ghidorah and Rodan.
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown stars with Vera Farmiga and Kyle Chandler in the thriller that is the next great summer epic after the arrival of (what is technically Spring) Avengers: Endgame.
The sequel to the 2014 reboot features the presence of Monarch, the “crypto-zoological agency” that has been tasked with how to deal with all these skyscraper sized monsters who are dotting the earth and causing mass destruction, to put it mildly.
One thing has to be stated. If you haven’t been in a blockbuster-type movie in the theaters lately, you’re missing out. Any IMAX film I’ve seen of late has included a trailer for Godzilla: King of Monsters and it is beyond epic. This is how this movie must be seen. These biggest monsters known to man’s imagination need to be experienced on the biggest screen known to human kind.
Look for the film that also stars Ken Watanabe, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Sally Hawkins and Bradley Whitford in theaters May 31.
