The latest Pokemon: Detective Pikachu trailer has debuted online, and it gives us much more to the story that previously teased. This is shaping up to be a true Pokeman-centric mystery of the highest order.
Ryan Reynolds voices the titular character and talk about impeccable casting. Detective Pikachu has lost all his memory and the only thing he has is a hat with an address in it. When he arrives at said locale, he meets Justice Smith’s Tim. The two must work together to solve the mystery of Tim’s father’s death. Or, is he dead. Or, is his death faked? Or, did someone fake his own… you’ll get it when you watch the teaser below!
Rob Letterman (Goosebumps) helms the project—a guy who knows a thing or two about melding creatures that aren’t there and live action actors to great success. I have never been a Pokemon fan of any kind, but there is something about this world, this trailer and this movie that has completely overwhelmed me with anticipation.
Can’t wait to see it when it opens everywhere May 10.
