The final chapter in the trilogy that started in 2000 with the stunning Unbreakable, and then was followed up with 2016’s Split, has delivered a tasty international trailer. Glass finds Bruce Willis returning to a role he originated 18 years ago, the heroic David Dunn, and Samuel L. Jackson reprising his villainous Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass.
M. Night Shyamalan delivered what I believe to be his most shocking twist of all in his decades-long career. When the final moments of Split played out, audiences saw Willis’ Dunn sitting at a diner looking at the news on the TV above going on about a crazed killer, Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy in the best performance of his career). Suddenly,it hit all of us M. Night fans like a roaring train… this was a sequel to Unbreakable and now this entire universe is part of a trilogy!
Glass hits theaters on January 18, just one month from now. It also stars the always awesome Sarah Paulson and Anya Taylor-Joy—reprising her role from Split.
