The highly anticipated first trailer for the fourth Avengers film is finally here. What else is revealed? Oh, just the film’s title: Avengers: Endgame.
After the events of Avengers: Infinity War where Thanos (Josh Brolin) achieved his dream of wiping out half the population of the living universe, it’s hard to know where our heroes have left to go or do. That question is firmly answered in the first tease of the Russo Brothers’ latest effort.
First off… Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is drifting in space and appears to be sending a message to his love, played by Gwyneth Paltrow. He reports running out of food and water days ago and oxygen will be running out by “tomorrow.” Meanwhile on earth, Cap (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) are at the Avengers compound seeming to accept defeat more than coming up with a plan to avenge. Then, hope arrives in the form of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man… who was supposedly one of the souls lost when Thanos snapped his big ole fingers.
What else is teased in the teaser? Why, only the return of Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)—who was conspicuously absent from the events of Infinity War. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is also on the sidelines wondering what to do next, as is Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
The only Guardians of the Galaxy character that remains (who is not in the teaser below) is Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper). Well, there’s also Nebula (Karen Gillan).
Who we don’t see, but is promised to play a huge role in the fourth Avengers film, is Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. We have to be introduced to her first in March when her flick hits theaters, no?!
Look for Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26, 2019.
