The first teaser trailer for the stunning-looking Artemis Fowl has landed from Disney. It looks sensational.
Artemis Fowl is based on the smash YA book series by Eoin Colfer and is being brought to the big screen by a man who knows a thing or two about adapting literary greats, Kenneth Branagh.
The story follows the titular character, who is 12-years-old and an utter genius. Ferdia Shaw portrays the hero, who with the help of his protector, aptly named Butler (Nonso Anozie) must head down into the futuristic and deep underground landscape in hopes of finding his disappeared father.
It is a world of fairies and other magical creatures that in the hands of Branagh, should be brilliant. After all, his Cinderella adaption was fantastic, as was every single Shakespeare flick he’s adapted as well.
Although short on plot, this teaser does an expert job at painting a picture of what audiences can expect when Artemis Fowl lands in theaters August 9, 2019. The mind-blowing fantasy also stars Tamara Smart, Judi Dench, Josh Gad and Lara McDonnell.
