The second Creed II trailer has landed, and boy it doesn’t hold back any punches.
Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) returns to the role he originated in Creed and this time out, he’s set for the fight for his life. On the other side of the ring… none other than the son of the boxer who killed his father, Adonis Creed. Victor Drago (Florian Munteanu), son of Drago (Dolph Lungren, back for more in the Rocky cinematic universe) has sent a message in the boxing world—he wants Creed in the ring for a fight that is about so much more than boxing.
Of course Sylvester Stallone returns as the iconic Rocky, while Tessa Thompson is back as Adonis Creed’s love interest, Bianca. Great to also see Phylicia Rashad returning as Creed’s mother, who delivers the line of the trailer when she says, “Don’t pretend this is about your father.”
Ryan Coogler steps back from the director’s chair, but still is involved as the film’s producer. Look to get back in the ring with Creed II on November 21.
