Robert Zemeckis has crafted some of our favorites movies of all time, from Forrest Gump, Back to the Future and even the recent Flight. He’s back dealing out his magical movie touch, this time pairing with Oscar nominated everyman, Steve Carell.
Carell stars as a man who loses much of his memory after an attack by Nazi sympathizers leave him near death. Given his financial strains, instead of relief from therapy, he builds tiny scale World War II solders and citizens from the Belgian city of Marwen. He fills the landscapes with dolls that are Allied soldiers, Nazis, friends from his real world and even his assailants.
Carell is joined in the cast by Leslie Mann (Blockers), Gwendolyn Christie, Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures), Merrit Wever, Leslie Zemeckis, Diane Kruger, Neil Jackson and Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver).
Look to get small in order to come out big when Welcome to Marwen hits theaters November 21.
