The utterly charming first trailer for the final chapter in the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy has premiered, complete with an emotional number from Ed Sheeran.
DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures proudly present the last episode in the trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
From what we can glean from the teaser, Toothless and his pal Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) have forged a world where dragons and Vikings can live side-by-side in utter bliss.
That is challenged when an invading army seeks to destroy all that they hold dear.
Things begin to look up when they discover a, well… you guessed it, hidden world that includes a female Night Fury that seems to put a wee bit of a spark in Toothless’ step. Yup, he’s got himself a bit of a crush.
This will be the final film in the series for director Dean DeBlois, who has been on board since the first film. Although spin-offs and a potential fourth film could always be in the works (especially if this film does well, which is highly likely), this will most certainly be the last go-around for DeBlois.
The Hidden World also stars America Ferrera, Cate Blanchett, Kit Harrington and Craig Ferguson, reprising their roles from the first two films. Joining the series is Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham.
