The first look at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is here and it certainly puts the teaser in teaser trailer.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn are back, along with Bradley Cooper voicing Rocket and Vin Diesel once again giving life to Groot (who we see hasn’t grown all too much in this first teaser, and yes, he is oh, so cute!).
The premise of Vol. 2 is not known. The plot in full is not known. But, what we have learned from some cryptic social media posts from the film’s writer-director James Gunn is that we will learn the father of Pratt’s Star-Lord… and of course, so much more!
Kurt Russell joins the cast as Ego (perhaps Star-Lord’s Dad?), along with Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan.
Look for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to also feature a stellar soundtrack. The teaser above features a song from that first film and color us surprised that we didn’t get a tease of one of those tracks from the Vol. 2 soundtrack. But, give it to Gunn to leave us wanting more and judging by this first look at his sequel that lands on May 5, 2017, our anticipation is even more through the roof than it was before.
