The Movie Mensch just came out of a 20th Century Fox CinemaCon highlight preview of all their films hitting screens in 2016 (and a few teases for 2017) and one of the headlines has to be the upcoming comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Want proof that this is one film that will be pushing the envelope while tickling your funny bone? Check out the newly released red band trailer!
Adam DeVine is Mike and Zac Efron (recently seen in that Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising trailer) is Dave, and these two brothers love to be the life of any family get-together. But, when their sister is getting married, their family comes together to demand that these two shape up and bring two respectable dates to this most loving of family affairs. What’s a couple of party animals to do? Why, go on The Wendy Williams Show and raise awareness to their plight.
Answering their call: A couple of screw-ups played by Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick (Get a Job).
Jake Szymanski makes his big screen directorial debut, after killing it on SNL and Funny or Die. Look for the Hawaiin-set hilarity to strike on July 8.
Oh, and stay tuned for our full report on that Fox presentation later today!
