If that The Secret Life of Pets trailer charmed you immensely, you’re not alone. The idea of a feature-length animated look at what our favorite furry and feathered friends do while we are away from home is one of the more creative ideas for an animation film in some time.
Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures have unveiled a series of character posters for our little friends to introduce the world to the characters that will have you adoring the latest from the studio that brought us Minions and the Despicable Me movies.
And if the idea alone doesn’t have you racing to buy tickets, then surely the voice cast will — Kevin Hart (Ride Along 2), Louis C.K. (Trumbo), Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family), Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks (the upcoming Finding Dory) all give life to the pets that will take us inside their secret circle when The Secret Life of Pets hits theaters on July 8.
The Secret Life of Pets is helmed by Chris Renaud (who gave us Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2) and co-directed by Yarrow Cheney.
