After that X-Men: Apocalypse teaser did just that, tease the heck out of us, 20th Century Fox has released the highly anticipated film’s first full trailer. And it is a stunner.
For the first time in the long running Marvel series that sits over at Fox, we get to meet what many have said is the first mutant. An ancient Egyptian, he simply goes by the name of Apocalypse. With a moniker like that, we’re sure he’s on the good side of things, right?!
Oscar Isaac trades in his good-guy charm from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and tackles the iconic baddie role in the latest from Bryan Singer, who gave us a stunner of a last film with X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Apocalypse has awoken after thousands of years of slumber and he is not too happy with how the world has turned out. He seeks to draft a team of powerful mutants to sit by his side (The Four Horsemen) and proceed to destroy all that man has built.
Hoping to stop them… the X-Men, led by James McAvoy’s Professor X and Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique.
Michael Fassbender is back as Magneto, and so is Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert and Evan Peters as Quicksilver.
Joining the series in roles we’ve met before is Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops. Olivia Munn is Psylocke and Lana Condor is Jubilee.
Look for X-Men: Apocalypse to wreak havoc in theaters May 27.
