Universal Pictures has unveiled the first (red band) trailer for The Lonely Island’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
What started as digital shorts on SNL, featuring Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, has now blown up into a full length comedy feature that seems to have found a stellar cast along the way.
Popstar is from producer Judd Apatow (Trainwreck) and also features Sarah Silverman, Maya Rudolph, Snoop Dogg, Tim Meadows and… Martin Sheen?!
The comedy finds Samberg as Conner4Real as his second solo record bombs and leaves his entire entourage and the pop music world as a whole wondering how the pop king will find his way back to the top.
Look for The Lonely Island‘s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping in theaters everywhere June 3.
