If that Finding Dory trailer didn’t get you all sorts of ready to jump in the water with the sequel to Finding Nemo, than this short – but incredibly effective – teaser should do the trick.
Walt Disney and Pixar have released a bit of an international teaser and there is absolutely no footage from the film, but that is why it works so well. It features Ellen DeGeneres’ title character swimming through the ocean without a care when she comes upon the title card for the movie. Her dialogue and DeGeneres’ inflection immediately remind us why she was the scene stealer from the original movie.
This time out, the tables are turned and Dory is lost and Nemo and his father must set out to find her. There’s also a whole element that takes place at the California Marine Biology Institute where we meet a whole bunch of new characters.
The cast has expanded a bit from the first film too, with Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton being added to the mix. The latter two will play Dory’s parents!
Look to head back into the sea when Finding Dory lands in theaters June 17.
