The next true story from the files of paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren is hitting the screen and we cannot wait for The Conjuring 2. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the first teaser trailer for the haunting flick that features director James Wan’s return to horror.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are back as Ed and Lorraine, and this time they’re heading to England to investigate how a little girl is hearing voices that, from the teaser below, appear downright spooky. She is among four children living in a home with a single mother, and the entire home appears to be not-so normal. The final moments of the trailer frighteningly bring that point home!
The teaser for The Conjuring 2 is also a reason to celebrate because Wan, after triumphantly tackling action movies with Furious 7, has returned to the genre that made him the helmer he is today.
The Conjuring 2 also features Frances O’Connor, Madison Wolfe, Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley and Benjamin Haigh.
Besides directing, Wan also co-wrote the screenplay with Chad Hayes and Carey Hayes. Look for the highly anticipated horror sequel in theaters June 10.
