Tina Fey is about to appear on the big screen with her BFF, Amy Poehler, in the comedy Sisters. But, the supremely talented comedic actress is set to light up the screen in another film and one that is still funny, but also quite serious, that will debut this March. The first trailer for Fey’s Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is here and we are more than compelled. This is a role that looks to fit her like a glove.
The film tells the tale of journalist Kim Barker’s well received memoir The Taliban Shuffle. It is a dark comedy that chronicles Barker’s experiences working as a reporter during the war in Afghanistan, and it was a journey that often took her into Pakistan as well.
Fey is perfect for the fish out of water tale and the cast that surrounds her is terrific as well. Alfred Molina, Billy Bob Thornton, Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) and Martin Freeman are her co-stars.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot rocks theaters March 4, 2016.
